ASI Order 66

                                                       Recall Petition

Pursuant to the ASI By-laws, Article VI, Section 5. We the undersigned registered and qualified electors of the Associated Students of CSULB, respectfully state that we seek the recall and removal of James Ahumada holding the office of President, Lucy Nguyen holding the office of Vice President, and Jameson Nyeholt holding the office of Treasurer, all serving the Associated Students at California State University Long Beach. We demand an election of  successors to the stated offices of ASI President, ASI Vice President,  and ASI Treasurer.

The following Notice of Intention to Circulate Recall Petition was served on 1/24/2011 to James Ahumada, Lucy Nguyen, and Jameson Nyeholt.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CIRCULATE RECALL PETITION

Pursuant to the ASI By-laws Article VI Section 5 and Article XII Section C., the undersigned registered qualified voters of the State of California, hereby give notice that we are the
proponents of a recall petition and that we intend to seek your recall and removal from the offices of President, Vice President, and  Treasurer of the CSULB ASI, and to demand election of successors in the stated offices. The grounds for the recall are as follows: Gross mismanagement of ASI Finances by overspending Associated Student money, threatening student government integrity anti-transparency legislation, failing to justify an exorbitant executive salary, and failing in general to deal with the university's major problems as students see fit. CSULB Students should not have to be known as the university with excessive executive salaries, Corporate Welfare for ASI Retirees, outrageous technology bills with student fees, and lack of management for campus entertainment operations when excellent entertainment facilities exist on campus....all caused by the gross mismanagement of all four of the executives being recalled.
